5 stars! My family and I have returned on 3 occasions to this very special rural property which offers us the opportunity to totally relax in a very private and high quality cottage. Children revel in the swimming pool and extensive grounds while adults plan the evening barbecue in the cool shade of the characterful ‘hanger’ which overlooks the pool. During summer evenings with it’s atmospheric lighting this is the perfect place to sample local wines and food . There are many local town…
We give this house 10/10. We hardly left the house and garden All the perfect factors for a holiday:-

Just had a fantastic week at Chez Briant, we loved the house, garden and our two young boys especially enjoyed the swimming pool Great to escape our busy lives for a while and soak up the surroundings and bits of sunshine. The quiet roads and rolling countryside went down well as we used our bikes to get around for the compulsory daily baguette plus kept the children busy at la Vallée des Singes and the Maize Maize.

Our British – South African families, each with 3 young children spent 10 memorable days here at Chez Briant. The warm sunshine and farm surroundings reminded us more of our African roots than our current home in London. Days were spent exploring the surroundings, enjoying good food (Leffe Ruby beers and the neighbours home-made aperitif, which she kindly brought, over deserve a special mention!) And splashing around in the swimming pool… a firm favourite among the kids! It’s back to Lo…

We’re back! Can’t believe it’s been six years. This time we’re seven and we’ve had the most fantastic time. The house looks fantastic and has been a real home from home except without the main road and with a pool! An idyllic setting, extra delicious food, masses of cheap wine, in fact much better than home. We have in fact contemplated barricading ourselves in”. Thanks so much for a really wonderful hols

What a beautiful house! – and immaculate when we arrived. We have had a fantastic holiday with great weather. Apart from the pool, the house, the garden, the food, the wine, the table football, the stars at night (we saw Venus!) and the pink chair in the top right twin bedroom here are some other highlights: The horse Poitou donkey and mule show, Pizza man at Romagne Angouleme, Valee des Singes, also the cycling is great as a break from relaxing.

Second time we’ve been here………..the spare field behind the pool is really fun for playing games, such as croquet and running about. The 2 weeks have gone very quick indeed; it feels as though we have only been here for three days. Had lots of fun, thanks.

Delightful and beautifully equipped place. Super swimming pool and lots of relaxation and fun for us. Mostly stayed local – but La Rochelle and Isle de Re were a delight” “We didn’t do a lot of sightseeing on this visit to the region: just enjoyed the house and lovely garden, and the markets and bars of Civray and Gencay
